Psychotherapy is not about focusing on the problems in life, but more about finding workable solutions to life’s many stressors. It is about identifying thoughts and behaviors that are getting in the way of you being your Best Self. My theoretical approach to counseling is a blended “multi-modal” approach, with strong solution-focused and cognitive behavioral influences. I teach many relationship and communication techniques that further enhance healthy functioning.
My practice philosophy is pretty simple. It is about self empowerment and positive change. It is about looking in the mirror and liking what you see- inside and out. I believe that YOU are the expert on you, including your thoughts, feelings, and deepest desires. I believe that you have all the ingredients to be successful and to be YOUR BEST SELF. Maybe you are just having trouble finding the right recipe for personal growth and contentment . My job is to empower you to not only identify roadblocks to success, but to also identify and use your inherent strengths to make positive, lasting changes.
